Description: The Medicaid Carve-In workflow is an optional workflow within SectyrHub designed to help covered entities review and confirm NPIs and Medicaid billing numbers on a consistent basis.
Because it is an optional workflow, it will not display for use until it is enable in the Admin Settings for the covered entity.
This article breaks down the workflow once it has been enabled.
How To Start a New Review:
- Navigate to the Covered Entity dashboard.
- Click the Medicaid Carve-In Review tile.
Click the New Workscreen button. This will navigate you to the newly created review.
How To Complete a Review:
The review itself consists of 3 parts: The date of the review, when the next review should occur, and a table that lists the NPIs and Medicaid billing numbers for each monitored site (parent and child) for the covered entity. Deficiencies are based on the dates entered as well as if the numbers for each site have been confirmed.
- Enter the review date.
- This date should reflect when the list below is reviewed. If they are reviewed over a period of time, the date can be updated to reflect a more recent date.
- Enter the next review date.
- This date should reflect when a new workscreen should be created to begin a new review cycle. By starting a review within a new workscreen, the information in the previous workscreen will no longer update as to maintain the history.
-
Check the boxes to confirm the NPIs and Medicaid billing numbers for each location are correct.
- Unchecked boxes will result in a deficiency to prompt you and your organization to correct any errors in the information.
- Optional notes can be left for each location.
- The boxes in the current/most recent review will uncheck if a new NPI or Medicaid billing number is recognized via the OPAIS syncing process.
- To save your work at any time, click the "Save and Continue" or “Save and Exit” button located at the bottom of the screen.
