HRSA Audit (& Mock Audit) Statuses and Key Dates

Statuses: 

In the event a HRSA/ Mock audit is open, the HRSA/ Mock Audit status will appear on the HRSA Audit tile located under the red Active compliance banner on the covered entity dashboard. If it is a mock (integrity) audit, the tile will display (Mock) in front of the status. The statuses are driven based upon the dates entered into the solution and the next steps that should be taken. The statuses are as follows:

• In Progress: The audit is in its initial stages and the on-site visit has not yet occurred. 
• Pending FAR: Pending Final Audit Report. The on-site has passed but the results have not yet been received. 
• Indicate Results: The results have been received but they have not yet been noted within the solution. 
• Indicate Next Steps: The results have been noted and the entity must determine next steps (ie will you close out the audit, contest with a notice of disagreement or complete a corrective action plan?).
• NOD Due: The entity has determined that it will complete a Notice of Disagreement but has not yet sent it in. 
• NOD Sent: The entity has sent in a Notice of Disagreement and is awaiting response.
• CAP Due: The entity has determined that it will complete a Corrective Action Plan but has not yet sent it in. 
• CAP Sent: The entity has sent in a Corrective Action Plan and is awaiting response.
• CAP Implementation: The Corrective Action Plan has been approved and is in the process of implementation. 
• Address AFIs: The covered entity must address Areas for Improvement as outlined by HRSA. 

Key Dates:

The key events help trigger the status. The Key Events are as follows:

• Kickoff Call: The next key date is the kickoff call. 
• Data Request Due: The next key date is when the data request is due.
• On-Site: The next key date is the on-site visit.
• Pending Final Audit Report: The next date is undetermined as the entity is pending the final audit report. 
• CAP Due: The next key date is when the Corrective Action Plan must be sent.
• NOD Due: The next key date is when the Notice of Disagreement must be sent. 
• Attestation: The next key date is when the attestation must be sent.
• Address AFIs: The final step is to address Areas for Improvement.
