Description: This article explains how to create a Sub-Region within your System.
Sub-Regions can be comprised of one or more covered entity. The Sub-Region dashboard displays the same layout as the System dashboard and Regional dashboards but allows for a filtered view based upon the covered entities within the Sub-Region. The goal of Sub-Regions is to allow organizations with multiple covered entities to create custom views relevant to their management structure.
To create a new Sub-Region, start on the system dashboard and click on the Regions banner. Click on the green pencil in the action column for the region that will include the new Sub-Region. Add the name to the Sub-Region field and click the New Sub Region button.
The new Sub-Region will now display with 0 entities and 0 Sub-Regions; add the entities by clicking on the name that was just created. Choose the entities one at a time from the drop down menu by choosing the entity and clicking the Add Selected button; you also have the option to add all of the entities by clicking the Add All button. The added CEs will display in a list and can be easily removed by choosing the red x in the action column. Once all the CEs have been added, click the blue Save button at the bottom of the screen
Adding sub-sub regions will follow the same process once the user is within the sub-region to allow for additional granularity.
Note: You are only able to add Sub-Regions at your system level.
