Starting or Accessing an OSV or FTCA Preparation Tool

Description: This article explains how to navigate to and start a preparation tool.

Before starting a preparation tool, all information in the Compliance Requirements (questions and document uploads) must be complete.

Step 1: Click on the the preparation tool icon (OSV, FTCA) in the navigation bar on the left.

Step 2: The menu will expand to show all of the preparation tools in the system, current or past.

Step 3: Click on the name (usually a year) of the preparation tool that you'd like to access or click or click "Get Started" and answer the questions to create a new one.

Step 4: The preparation tool will open. If the tool is active, you will be able to make changes. No changes can be made to a locked preparation tool, but all of the documents will remain there for viewing.
